My MPC4000 is finally maxed out!!!

Just installed the IB-4ADT board in my MPC and expanded the RAM to 512mb which was bought on ebay from fourniersean. Now my MPC has all available options (installed by me)!!! The install took longer than I thought it would 'cause space is tight in there with the other boards, but I took my time & tried not getting aggravated Maybe someday I'll get custom wood sides & front made for it - but in the meantime, I'll just try to keep building my sound library...

I bought the MPC new about 3 or 4 years ago & just added the options over time. I got the coax digital board first (it was the least expensive) then the analog 8 out board & most recently the Adat board & extra ram.

The 4000 new was $2799 - so I've got over 3K invested so I won't be selling it... unfortunately they don't sell for very much used now (but hardly any digital instruments retain much value)

Thanks! I don't have a Linn9000 although one of my friends did (including the sampling option) and he used it in the studio and live for years...

Sorry I can't recall what I paid for each option, but I know I waited and got good deals on them all at different times.

those linns9000 any good ? when I was getting my 2500 fixed at forats I saw few units laying around waiting to be serviced or whatever.

i've never used one


but ive been talking with a fellow on GS who has a linn 9000 he sent me a choon he did where the snare was sampled straight into the forat 9k without any processing etc and recorded and it sounded great.

there is an old school linn 9000 video on utube were the guy from one of the old music stores in the UK makes a beat with the 9k and another synth in under a min
