first note missing

hi all, i recently got an mpc4000 and one thing is doing my head in.....
say i record a two bar midi sequence......to trigger my sound module from the mpc....all pads are recorded perfectly.....however if the first midi note is at 01.0.0 it is not played back when i press the play/start stop.....it only plays after the sequence has looped one time.....any idea why it doesnt play it? i only have this issue with midi, and not with internal samples....

how many bars do you have set,also look at your time signature.

Try inserting a couple of blank bars to the beginning of the sequence/ song if possible.
