Compression on the 4K

Does anyone use it? Or do you all use outboard?

Has anyone managed to get a decent compression out of the onboard compressor??

I can't see how someone could use the onboard compression without the ability to see how much of a reduction in gain the compressor is applying. It would've been nice if they would have included some type of indicator to show input, gain reduction, and output. Btw I use outboard compression.
