I usually set my samples/notes to Poly1 (adjust the mute grps and set my samples to one shot or leave it as sample)... this morning I was messing around adjusting the notes to different Poly settings, and tried to figure out what was the real benefit of using any other setting... this may seem like a stupid question, but has anyone set the Poly to around 21 and found it useful? I can kinda understand using the poly function for flams/phazing/delay/reverb (but why do this when you cant adjust the level of the sound)... for some reason, I find it easier to to copy the sample, assign it to another pad, and program the copied sample to my liking... but thats my preference... can some one give me a good reason or an example for adjusting the poly without giving up their best kept production secrets... or if you dont mind sharing your knowledge, I'd love to hear some of your tricks and tips... I've only adjusted them for intros to songs/mixtapes/records to provide a dramatic effect or a little suspense before the beat actually drops...
