Sound Issues need help please

I recently purchased a second hand Mpc 4k. I notice that time to time while sequencing my drums at times as I stike the pad the note will repeat. Not as if stuck on note repeat but the note will sound twice. Any suggestions? Hopefully common problem...

possibly just a pad sensitivity issue. You can check this by pressing the "pad assign" button and then pressing "f2".

The pads might hit twice because you are resting your fingers on the pad after the initial hit.
Get your fingers up off the pad after you hit it. This is something that happens with alot of people before they learn
how to caress their machines.
