when i first got my 4000, my scsi jaz drive would always register when i turn the machine on. now, it registers, but always says empty drive. (this is after i changed the os to 1.60) i go into the load page, and i update the machine, and it searches for scsi drives. but still comes up as an empty drive. so i format the disk, thinking that might be the problem, but still have the same issue. the only way to get the disk to register is to eject it (not using the 4000, but the button on the jazz drive), and put it back in the drive. is this normal? does the jazz drive have a sleep mode? its not that big of a deal to take the disk out and put it back in, i just want to make sure nothing is wrong with my machine.
