MPC4000 Voltage

was wondering if any of you in Europe,UK....could tell me what the Voltage is in the back of the MPC4000.

The reason I ask, because on my 2000XL it only says for 100 or 110v(something like that), But in the Manual it states a range of 100v-220v(something like that)...I can only use my MPC2000Xl in the US. Plus I am not trying to Fry my MPC(fried my cell phone once in London like that!)

Would like to know if all the MPC4000 came standard with the voltge range of 110-220v...Or where there 2 seperate MPC4000 issued based on where you live?

trying to purchase a MPC4000 while I am IN Europe, Just want to make sure that I can use it when I go back to the US..

am in the same boat as you, No there is not different units made , they all come with voltage converters. Most hardware ( modules ,sp units, etc) come with voltage convertion built in. usually its written in manuals or somewhere on the units. Thats strange that your mpc is only 110v I know mines says its 220 also
Just wondering where you getting your 4k at ? Am not getting mines till april-may but the best place i can think of is waiting on something from ebay or VST ( they charge a bit more) , hopefully including the 8outs . Let me know about other places to get one from just in case i dont know bout them

I was just saying that my MPC2000XL only had the 110v on the back of the unit..It seems that Akai either issued 2 seperate versions of the machine? Or there was a voltage misprint on the back of some of the 2000xls, and it actually does convert the voltage automatically? The manual leads me to believe that it does 110-240v, but I dont want to take that risk plugin it in, and the unit gets fried!

I am in Europe for a couple months, and wanted to get one while I am here. Just wanted to know if they issued the MPC4000 like this. Just wanted some one to check the back of the 4000 from Europe to see if it has that voltage range, before I make that investment!

The XL and 4000 are standard world wide. They can be used anywhere with the right adaptor. They should operate 100V-220V.

I know this is an old thread but I thought I post just incase the information helps anyone.

I was bought my 4000 in the US and took it back to the UK. I thought I would need a step down convertor but noticed on the back of the MPC that it took 110v-240v.

So, as the previous poster mentioned, in order for the 4000 to work in the UK and I'm almost positive Europe seem to just need the adapter that'll change the plug to the shape of the relevant country. It works fine here for me.

When i bought my 4000, it came with a USA pover lead with a 2 pin plug on. I just used my own UK power cable i had at home and it worked no problem.

You can use a desktop computer british power cable. It's the same power cable connection for the MPC as long as you have the 3-prong type.
