Would be awesome if anybdody can upload, or share, or copy the original MPC4K discs? Help!

It's amazing I can't find these anywhere ... some doofus was selling a set of discs on ebay that supposedly included the orig sounds, but then retracted the sale "out of stock" then raised price, then selling them again? Sheesh.

So.. new SSD but it's blank... how pitiful is that?

It's a sampler, also aksys can be used, sample or transfer something.

Always helpful but useless moderator posts... thanks!

Yes, I know it's a sampler --- however, sampling real drums from other sample libraries is a copyright violation; I no longer have my own drum kits, and I have some tracks that use the original sounds from the MPC4K set, that I quite liked - like the Akai 24bit drums not included with my MPC3000 stuff, or whatever - those were unique to the 4K discs, and didn't come with all the 16-bit models. I would prefer to get "back" all the lost "stock" folders I had previously to put it back to stock, also useful in case I ever want to sell the unit down the road and just keep my 3KLE+FORAT.

So, I guess I'll stop wasting my time here since nobody seems to be able to help with this. Thanks all - and have a good one!

Back to making music. :-)

yup ... that is the "person" who seems to operate under multiple accounts (aka djfourfoot) and selling samples; sold me that 30GB library after I even asked him if it likely included the original sets, he said yes; bought it; then he cancelled the purchase 5 days later saying "out of stock" (um, what he couldn't get to store to buy blanks?) .. then day later ads back on ebay, different account, same picture ?

UM... thanks but no thanks.

(sigh).

Oh well... thanks for all the help, folks. Ciao.

I dunno, he seems to have a quite a good reason for wanting the original factory sounds, so I can understand the frustration.

Regarding that ebay listing, personally the last thing I want is 30Gb worth of files to go through. I would have already bought it if it was just the factory stuff, but it's not legal to sell the free Akai factory sounds for a profit, so obviously it wont be available for purchase any time soon.

Illegal to sample drum libraries but ok to buy official drum libraries from unofficial sources?

Frustration I can understand, coming like that though, you have childhood issues that original libraries wont solve.
