how to send channel pressure messages from 4k?

hy there ...

got a problem ... i d like to play with the 4k pads and trigger channel pressure nessages at my sound module to play its aftertouch ... playin the virus kb s keys to play its aftertouch, recording that data onto 4k tracks and playin back is all workin fine ... but the 4k pads are sexier than those kb s keys ... so i d like to play with the pads ...

in misc mode one can select whether to sand pad pressure messages as poly prs data or not ... but how can i send channel pressure messages from the pads?

is it possible? ... should be somehow ... please anyone...

so your trying to send aftertouch pressure from the pads on to your virus?

this might be to simple?, but then I afraid I don't exactly know what your after, the pads send aftertouch right, then its just a matter of setting the track to the correct midi out right, (the virus is set to recive aftertouch right?) if not it try hitting the "midi" button and screw with midi routing.. dunno, I might not much help here..using the 4k standalone these days

exactly .....

i got no problem to use aftertouch at the 4k sampler, and i got no problem to use and record aftertouch from the virus kb at the 4k .... the channels are all set .... keyboard is local off ... so its signal is goin into 4k tracks and then back over out a to the virus .... all no problem ...

the problem is: the kb keyboard transmits channel pressure data and the kb s sound engine seems to recognize that data only (no poly pressure - at least i haven't managed to set it so ...) .... but i would like to use the pads to play the virus aftertouch .... so to control aftertouch i would have to set the 4k pads to transmit channel prs data ..... but have no clou where and how to set that .... anyone uses this setup (or similar) and knows how to set it? .... any help is as always greatly appreciated ....

since i m not sure whether the 4k is able to send channel pressur data at all .... it would already be a big help if someone could confirm if this ain't possible at all from the 4k pads .... hope not that it is so but at least i wouldnt waste any further time to look for somethin that isn't there ....
