Exchange tips and tricks for the Akai MPC4000

Hey,

Real quick question. Just got back to the 4k after being stuck on software for a while and being able to appreciate its modulation features. Thing is I have no dotted line for the reference part of the Aux Envelope within program modulation. From what I can make out from the manual it should look similar to the LFO shift line but I just don't have anything appearing on the aux envelope or filter envelope.
I have completely wiped the volume and reinstalled the os but no change. If anyone could make sure they do and let me know if I should have something here I would really appreciate it. It will only take a minute.

Thanks

I dimly recall this as being an inconsistency in the OS ... but haven't actually thought about it since literally 2003.

EDIT - not to blow my own trumpet, but if you go to the YahooGroups MPC4000 mailing list, and go to the files archive, and get my annotated MPC4000 Reference Guide PDF, on page 213 you'll find a note I made in 2004: "horizontal line for Refernence Level not working in OS 1.51?" You even get the typo ;)

I'd tagged that against the Filter Envelope, but it could have been that I meant the Aux Envelope and tagged the wrong paragaph.

What I would do now is cross reference the MPC4000/Z8/Z4 SysEx Guide (v1.50) and check if a SysEx command for the reference level of the Aux envelope exists there...
and if it's present in Ak.Sys 2.53's GUI.
