slice to chromatic midi sequence?

hey,


when slicing and creating a sequence, it ends up in the weird default midi pattern :

37 - 36 - 42 - 82 etc.


can I have it sliced to a chromatic sequence?

some more noob slice questions,

I have sliced a 4 bar bassline recorded from my voyager, but when its played against a
4-4 kick, its a bit late/delayed. It is 16 slices.

can I simultaneously delete soem of the silence at the start of each slice?

Is there a better way to get the sliced sequence in sync?

i don't think there's a way to do any of these things non-manually... but they don't take too long to do manually...

as far as programs, if you use the CHOP feature it won't assign chromatically... you have to set the pads to chromatic and then manually assign the chopped samples.

as far as syncing your voyager sample up... chop it into 4 slices... 1 for each bar... trigger the samples manually at the start of each bar.

all i can think of... not much help i know...

you can do this easily in JJOS... not with the AKAI OS though.

The MPC4000 isn't for you is it? Sometimes you've got to admit defeat and move onto something else.

1k, 2k, 2kxl, 3k, 4k, pro tools, reason, etc. If you don't learn the basis you will be lost on any machine/daw.

when its sliced and sequenced, can I easily shift the sequence left right etc
(like its commonly done on step sequencers)

I guess select all and move in seq edit is the best for this?
an alternative would be great!
