Q-Link Crossfader?

WHat would be the best way to set up a Q-Link slider to act as a crossfader moving from center to the cut off side? I tried just using Volume but it just fades, instead of cutting.

Not sure if the Q-Link slider could be setup as a crossfader, as doesn't a typical
crossfader, fade from 1 source to another. So you would need to setup 2
items , one for each end of the crossfader, which I don't think is possible. Perhaps
you can detail more what you are trying to do?

Are you trying to crossfade between 2 samples? What are trying to accomplish?

Actually that post was a little misleading. Really I just want to gate the sound out like a DJ does when he is scratching, etc. Not fade. Pretty sure I could get fading working with a velocity slider though.

set the fader at 126 and volume is full on, 127 and its completly off... like a reversed upfader with curve........ ohhhhh what a dream.... AKAI?!?!?!?!

yo boy007, dunno but if we can set the fader to controll velocity (?) if so we could set that joint up: by editing the key span of the sample in program zone to only 126, of corse each hit would have to be recorded at 127 to be able to have the option of complete silance

no wait that won't work, velocity is only valid on note one, ..silly me
