error -1857 when dragging files from 4k to finder on 10.6.8

However i can drag files from my mac to the mpc with aksys

A few more words would be really helpful for anyone landing in this thread.

Yeah Mac+MPC anything file wise is always an adventure. And don't forget over 1/3 of the error codes OS X produces aren't even in their databases or quantified anywhere on there help pages, they don't even know 1/3 of the time. Like the logs will show corrupt/bad file but never tell you why and the codes often have no data to explain them anywhere.

Other than what Lamp and Metatron have mentioned, I'm guessing the OP has discovered that you can drag and drop to AKsys but you can't drag files back out of it. You have to right click and select 'save to Mac/PC'.
