Changing time signature?

Hi list, a simple question: when I want to change the time signature of a sequence from 4/4 to say 7/8, and the seq is 16 bars long, do I *always* have to specify the new signature for *all* bars?

If I move the cursor over the 4/4 and turn the dial, a window pops up and wants me to define the new signature for all bars (yes, I know about the shift-cursor trick to select them all).

Isn't there an faster way to set *all* bars to another signature in one go? What if I have a sequence of 200 bars? They want me to select all 200 bars? Oh man...

It's not really that hard...You just hold down the cursor button and shift and it'll select all of the bars in like three seconds. You don't have to push the cursor button once per bar.

I changed a 64 bar sequence pretty quickly, no fuss. I think it's a fair trade for the amount of per-bar time sig control you get with this set-up. I know I've got more than a few sequences with, like, 3 measures of four, a measure of five, and a measure of 1/16, just to give the sequence that little hesitation before it changes. I love the control I've got over that!

Most people's sequences are rarely longer than 32 bars, unless they've converted a song. I think, though, that it would make sense to be able to hold down shift and push the End Bar button to select all bars. That would be a couple seconds shorter.

Okay, I understand now this is the way it's supposed to work. Weird...
