I have a question about the 16 levels

i just got a mpc 4000, ive used a 2000xl for years. i wanted to know can you auto chop in the 4000 using the 16 levels feature. cause on the 2000xl, all you have to do is set velocity level to 0 and velocity start to 100. let me know if this can be done on the 4000, cause i have a lot of songs that i used samples with this feature.
