I don't know if this is possible but does anyone know a procedure to connect and sync up a Mackie D8B to a MPC 4k? I'd love to be able to work the MPC from the D8B's transport control... anyone?

ok this is only a guess but I think the transport controls are MTC. JUST CHECKED ON MACKIES SITE AND THE GUESS WAS RIGHT. It also sends out MMC...

go to the manual and find the chapter on transport controls. You'll need to have the midi out of the d8b and hooked into the mpc.
in the sync options of the d8b, select the option to send mtc to the mpc midi port and in the mpc, set the sync options to mtc. also, on the main page, set the sync to external midi...

that should work.

bear in mind you can use faders and knobs on the d8b a continuous controllers etc... it can also act as a huge midi controller interface..

let me know if it works.

You must have an option
