Guys

Is it possible for my mpc 4k to faulty RAM slots, i have tried two different types of RAM
various sizes & nothing will register ?? Just the standard 16mb on board .

Question : If the Ram slots are screwed then surly the whole mother board would be screwed too ... Right?

Admittedly i have not tried using offical AKAI RAM , i just checked the service manual for the correct ram type (256 mb PC100 ) or ( Kingston 256mb - PC133)

Help ???

1. make sure your ram complies with mpc4k specs (see service manaul)
2. clean the sh!t out of the ram sockets with some caig's de-oxit or something similar

It is more than likely the case, if you cannot get the ram to work, the mother board has failed too.
