Jesus Lord Help Me! ADAT I/O Prob

Before I smash my MPC with a crowbar, can anyone lend some insight on how to get this ADAT card to assign its 8 outs & work properly into Protools Digi 002

I know this has to be some sort of configuration step Im missing, but I cant seem to find anything in the manual to help me out. Can anyone offer some detailed insight?

program > kg mix (f2) > navigate to <out> column and select output.

You have to have your inputs in protools set up to hear the digital inputs.

thanks... i got the mpc part already i was reffering to the PT digital-ins part ... thank tho...

In protools create a new aux or a new audio track. Set the input for that new track to ADAT 1, 2, 3 etc. (To change a track input goto the mix window. They are located right below the plugin inserts.) If you create an audio track then the track must be record enabled for you to hear any signal.

Make sure you sync settings are correct. I usually make the 002 the master and set the MP to sync to <ADAT IN>.

If you're still not sure about setting inputs and outputs, in protools, goto the <PRO TOOLS> menu and select <PRO TOOLS REFERENCE GUIDE>. Goto Chapter 7 "I/O Setup". It should explain everything you need.
