Exchange tips and tricks for the Akai MPC4000
By SyrtisMajor Wed Dec 16, 2015 3:07 pm
At the moment I make one beat at a time then save the whole thing - as 'save entire memory'. But that means I have to finish the beat before I clean MPC hard drive and save anything new I create. Sorry if this is a newbie question, but how can I save multiple differing beats/projects on the 4000 hard drive without having to delete what I've already saved...
Thanks!

i suggest to never overwrite a file, instead delete it before saving it again.
not sure if it is a major bug but i had problems overwriting files in the past, those couldn“t be loaded anymore seemed to were damaged

Luckily I have developed a few good habits, I have always practiced that, or just named it something else. I think all media has a failure rate. I wouldn't be so quick to call it a bug, I have also overwritten files successfully.
