How is it possible to do that with the 4000 ?
since there is no destination in the modulation matrix for loop length, i tried to find a way by modulate the decay of the sample but the slop is too smooth for a clean effect.

basicaly what i'm trying to do is lets say i have a sample saying : " multisample " i'd like to be able to shorten the length of the loop with a qlink so i can have like a granular FX : multisamplemultisammultismultimultimulmulmulmulmumumumummmmmmmm.
do you see what i mean ?
i know i can modulate the sample start but i can't see a trick to do what i want...any idea ?

I don't think Akai samplers ever really do this do they...? I think Kontact does it... I would absolutely love to see this implemented, it would be a wonderful live tool - imagine modulating the start, end and lenghth on a long sample of speech from two sliders and a knob... wild

worth a request to Akai at least

that's actualy what i did yesterday, no answer for the moment and i think we'll have to wait for a while as the last update isn't officialy released yet ! + given how long akai takes to release updates i guess we won't have this feature soon :?

yhea I requested the same thing the other day aswell, yesterday in fact...

what you can do though is make multiple copies of the same sample with many dif looppoints

assign them to the same program and sequence them manually, it actually gives you more controle as each sample can have dif parameter values on top of it, ... drill'nBass anyone..

not as nice as being able to play it live via Qlinks I admit ...
