MPC4k CD drive problems

I am experiencing problems with my CD drive...It is not reading the CD
sample libraries or samples that I have made into .wav. It appears the the 4k locates the CD but when I chose to load the samples there is a no go happening. The manual does not give you to much info and what steps am I missing.

did you check if the cd worked right on a computer before trying on the MPC ?

yes...i can read the file on my computer.
