Recording Input Problem....

hey whats up everyone, i just got my mpc 4000 yesterday and have been reading the manual and reading alot on this site. and you guys have some really interested info posted on here thats helped me abit already.

the problem is when i record in off straight from the turntable, im only getting a signal from the left. but nothing from the right. im recording in analog and i have it set to stereo. i have tried have the technics 1200 going through the mixer then the mixer through the line in but still the same problem but i get both signals on the mixer, but only the left signal on the actual mpc.

im using the mpc 4000 with version 1.70.

help is much appreciated.

maybe your right input is messed up oon your MPC

try sampling something else than your turntable, like a CD player or a walkman or whateve just to check if the inputs or the capble are alright

yeah i tried that with the ipod and different cables.
and same problem, i might have to take it in. i bought it off ebay, but i know a place down here that should beable to fix it.

any other ideas anyone?

I guess it s the input, but it might be some kind of setting problem which sould probably be less annoying
