sometimes when i make a track, lets say a 4 bar flute loop, i will hold the final note in the 4th bar so that it plays into the begining of the 1st bar on loop. Everything is all good until i save the sequence and turn off the 4k. When i reload the sequence the final note gets cutoff at the end of the fourth bar. my question is why wont the 4k save the note duration data on the last note. ANY1 GOT ANY ADVICE ...THNX

Do you actually SEE the note duration data getting shorter? For example
when you go into Step Edit, before you save, do you see the note duration at 1523 and
after save, turn off MPC , and then load up again, the last notes duration is for example 256?

Do you actually physically SEE the duration shorter or are you seeing an issue where the actual data stays the same (note duration length does NOT change) but the hearing perception changes....?

I've never seen what you describing , so I'm trying to get a an idea of where the issue might be occurring. It would seem weird that the actual note length that was saved was different. I can see different behaviour changing but the data that is saved should remain the same, unless somebody has actually created a MPC 4000 virus that can change the data....

Try this:
When you save, try "SAVE ENTIRE MEMORY" and save it as an "ALL SEQS and SONGS", as this saves various flash settings that you have made, do you get the same thing?

hmmm this is strange.....yes i am seeing the actual note duration in track edit become shorter on the last note when saving multi and sequence1 individually. I just saved entire memory [all seq song] and the duration data was saved. If any1 else has experienced this please reply. THNX for the advice renegade , i hadn't thought to try 'save entire memory" although i'm still confused why multi and seq saving individually wasn't working.
