I spent some downtime just reorganizing the studio, working deeper with the 4k and getting more experience with my editing. Recently I picked up a drum pattern guide and just experimented with seq edit and step edit pages inputting some of those complicated patterns. It really step up my timing and understanding of the interaction of rhythm programming. Since I didn`t start out on a 808 or Electrotribe, I feel like with redrum on reason that it has expanded my abilities to enhance my drums programming. From sound designing, chopping and arranging instruments, to better rhythm programming its all coming together. Now to get my DAW to act right and hook up with live bass playing.
