Its a wonderfull audio editor and multitracker! Pitch shifting, superb time stretching, vst support, etc..
Install it on the comp where aksys and the mpc4k are installed to, then just drag an audio file from the mpc´s memory into Melodyne and start freakin! Add region markers and export individual slices,.. anything is possible, you name it! Its cheap to. Its very cpu friendly.
You made a recording straight into the mpc4000? But you played some notes, skratches or vocals out of time and out of tune in conjunction with the rest of the track? The mpc can be a **** to make a recording sound "on" time and "in" tune. No problemo! With Melodyne you can do this automaticly as it handles audio as it were midi!! Supah.
Remember in wich tune you worked on in the mpc, let Melodyne know this and you can adjust the tune with a few mouseclicks. You can quantize a loop without slicing. Just set the tempo of the Melodyne project to the same as your current MPC tempo.
No need to synchronize sequencers.. Once you re done with your audio file, save it back to the uploadcache folder from aksys. (place this folder on your desktop!) and put it back in the mpc! Done. Your recording should be in tune and on time.
Only 200 bucks or something
