Exchange tips and tricks for the Akai MPC4000

Hi,

I am trying to use DP 4.1 as the sample editor for my akaisys. I have both the newest version. Actually it has never worked since I bought MPC4000 earlier this year.

I use OS X.

Akaisys does start fine with Classic mode. I can use akai sys fine and
edit samples and programs fine. But when I try to choose DP 4.1 as my sample editor, it has a problem. First, when I try to browse for the application file of DP4, finder does not even recognize the application...

The same does not work for my PEAK 3.0 either. Whatta hell is going on?

Can some one help on this issue or am I doing something wrong?

Please help me cause my project is stuck by this problem.

Email or reply to this topic please!!!

Although I dont have a MAC Im pretty sure this is because theres never been a real OS-X version of AK.SYS released. They promised this update a (very) long time ago. You should call AKAI in Japan and tell them to get their head out of their a**. If I knew Japanese I'd call them myself. :)

That is why I guess. Ak.Sys badly needs to be updated to OSX version.

I now figure that I have to download the Wav file to PC and open it on DP4, then I can modify, after all I think I can save it back to MPC4000...

Akai in reading, Please do what you are supposed to do.
