I`m just adding a small insight I came across. Less focus on just samples really learn your programs aka instrumentals. Programs can turn that sample into your creation. Thats it.

Care to elaborate? I'm just beginning to get into using the programs more, so I'm on the look out for some serious manipulation tips.
