Hey Altopiano try out this formula.

60/92= .652 aka 652ms which is one quarter note.

Quarter note is 652

Eigth note is half as long 326

Eighth triplet is a one thirdth as long 217

Sixteeth note is one fourth as long 163

Sixteeth triplet is a one sixth as long 108

And you can do the same going up from the quarter note 652

A half note is twice as long 1304.

You may know this already or this may not have been what you were asking but it works for me and may so for other newbies. Less time and worry. I use different formulas for others too. If it works holla back

the formula worx. thats not the problem. i just use an excel sheed on which i got all hz and m/sec values in 1/4, 1/4(3), 1/8, ... from 60 to 200 bpm. ... printed out - they never change anyways! ... and the calculations take no time. thing is ... i got different delays that i use - and yes one may be better one worse - for sure the easiest and probably even the sickest one to use is the one at my virus. and thats mainly coz its the only one that is synced in such a way. so imo if the 4k fxs were synced similarly, ie 1/4, 1/4(3), 1/8, and such (just as ie. the lfos) or just as djredhead explained they were better and much more fun to use ...

im down with that^^^ gimme the ability to use a bpm delay....
atm i just put delay on the drums, set it 100% and fk wid the delay time to find the value i want... its a little backwards..
I just bought a Line6 pod and the delays in this thing are crazy...
just need the 8outs for the mpc now...

Recently, I spent some downtime just working with the 4k and nothing else. After messing with the sample editors and computer software plus upgrade some multtrackers. After my computer crashed and I made a conscious decision to just use the 4k plus the guide. That bit of action inspiired by the pics binger posted of Primo in the lab created a new mantra for me at least as less is more. Indeed the 4k is deep and still learning new things. My mind has indeed expanded. Like my girl Amel Larrioux I see Infinite Possiblities.

I come to find out the more experience I become the more everything starts to make sense. It took some time but I love to climb life challenges and mountains of goals.

It`s an excellent book that offers some great tips. If I was new or a vet I would get it and check the whole not just customize sounds and midi. It starts will the basic, basic like any other guide, but the middle half gets into the nitty gritty which helps alot. For the others that slept or skim without really looking through get it. For the newbies get it. Feed the mind and think!!!!

Qaurternotex 2 eqauls half note
qaurter not x 3 dotted half note
qaurter x 4 whole note
qaurter dived by 2 8th note
qaurter note dived by 4 16th note
qaurter note x 1.5 dotted qaurter note
Dotted qaurter divided by 2 dotted 8th note
dotted qaurter dived by 4 dotted 16th
Qaurter dived by 3 8th note triplets.
qaureter dived by 1.5 qaurter note triplets
qaurter note diveded by 6 16th note triplets...
