MPC 4000 for 1240$

I've just bid on the mpc4000 on ebay now this guy made an offer to me
for 1240$
The only things i'm concerned with is that the specs on Ups say
That the total weight is 8,5KG, Since the mpc4000 is 10,5 KG there must be something terribly wrong i guess.
The money i have to send using moneygram, is also something ebay doesn't reccomend. i'm afraid this guy is trying to rip me off
So what do you guys think about it?

Given the little that we know, it isn't possible to say what is going on with that auction. The seller could be mistaken about the weight. He could have made an offsite offer to avoid paying high commssion to eBay. Is this MPC in the US or somewhere else? The value you listed seems like US dollars but the weight in kilograms is something the average American would know nothing about. You'll have to give us more details.

If it smells fishy then 9 times out of 10 it is. That is just way to good to be true. I dont buy anything on ebay that I cant pay with Paypal. The matter of the guy making a offer to you sounds suspect.

Be suspect of the "too good to be true" deals and also the overseas items. There was another thread on this site where some people were getting scammed by the same user. Search for it. Also check the sellers feedback. If it's zero definitily don't do this.

I've seen it time and time again with the MPC4000, Triton Studio, and Motif. Someobody sends a Western Union and that's the last they see of thier money. You are not going to get it from this person. Don't trust the feeback either. There are people that hack other people accounts or buy them from people. It's become pretty big bussiness. Talk to whoever you send this much money to on the phone. Make sure the phone is listed in their name...It is very easy to see when someone is legit or when they are defrauding you. This sounds like a fake. I can almost gurantee you, if you send your money off to this person, you will never see it again.

For an extra $40 (based on a sale of $1240) you can arrange to pay via Escrow.com (a service that eBay recommends). If the guy won't agree to this (and there is no reason why a legitimate seller should have any issues), then call the deal off. When you're spending so much cash it's better to be safe than screwed over.

this MPC will ship from The U.S to the netherlands/ i have to send the money to Madrid (spain).

Don't send any money to this seller. He's trying to make you believe the MPC is in the US. A seller with an actual MPC would have you send the money to the US. We've heard this same scam before. Get away from this deal as fast as you can.

Tell him you want to pay directly to his bank account. I do that all the time. That way you know (or can get hold of) his name. We've seen one guy got screwed by a scammer, I hope it won't be two!
