Please go to the GLOBAL page and press INITIAL to initialize your unit's parameters BEFORE applying the 1.5 update. Our shop's been getting bumrushed with phone calls from people just laying the pipe without doing that step first.

Gotta do the reset first, if it still fu*ks up, you may have to revert to 1.45 until Akai gets they sh!t in gear. We've done this on a number of units and all of them are working nice. As far as we can tell...once they get back to their homes we'll know for sure.

Time will tell.

BTW, you best have a copy of 1.45 ready to reload just in case the machine goes to sh!t after you install the update, seen.

Peace.

You may notice when you turn the 4000 on after the OS update that the unit freezes when you see the intro screen. It says "Searching Disks..." and does nothing after that.

Press F1 to abort then go to the GLOBAL page and disable the Autoload feature. You should then be able to access the unit normally.

Peace.
