Yeah,I think so.. :? We gonna start Roland-bashin' or something?? I'm IN! And don't misunderstand me cause I'm not an Akai lover but an MPC junkie.I'm just expectin' much more support from this company cause I purchase their product. And to be true..IT WON'T EVER BE SUBSTITUTED OF ANY CRAPPY MACHINE WHICH IS "MPC-LIKE".
"Call'em biters, immitators, copycats and duplicators.." Hehe!

I look forward to the next MV review, MPC Producer might not be answering all the questions we want answered, just give the guy some time. After all he appears to be the ONLY guy who is putting some time into the MV at the moment.

I hope the MV turns out to be a killer, as Im one of those chaps with very little gear, and even less space to put the gear in. For real, I been waiting for an all in one unit for age's. Lets just chill and see what happens.

just think when both product are more common place you might see MPC Vs MV beat battles.

peace

come on guys, keep fair...we have to appreciate MPC_Producers effort to give us some facts about the MV. Hatin' or simplifying's gonna bring us nowhere here..

Just 2 examples for comparison:

MPC Producer posted for example the following about Roland gear on Sat Jan 03, 2004 11:07 am: http://www.mpc-forums.com/viewtopic.php?t=7052
„It takes months for magazines to review Roland gear. Months passed before the V-Synth and Fantom-S were reviewed. Those synths have become enormously popular, earning wide acclaim from many professionals.“

MPC Producer posted for example the following about AKAI gear on Thu Jan 01, 2004 11:35 pm: http://www.mpc-forums.com/viewtopic.php?t=7134
As far as anyone knows the MPC1000 has the more stable OS. Since the 1000 is not as complex as the 4000 more bugs would have been discovered by now if they were serious. In contrast, the bugs in the 4000 were discovered over the course of more than a year.

Do you get the difference ?

By Needle201 Sat Jan 03, 2004 3:05 pm
that means? (sorry, i dont quite get it..)

MPC producer: You don't have to respond but I'm onto you.
You have your own agenda.

MPC Producer wrote
"Re-read my post. I didn't write "the year the MV takes over"

I re-read it . You're right you wrote.

MPC Producer wrote
"Happy 2004 -- the year WHEN the MV-8000 begins to take over!"

Do you see a big difference in those two comments. I don't
I'm sure everyone feels as though you're greeting is fair and balanced. .

Now. I find it very funny when you say

MPC Producer wrote on the MPC pads.
"They offer more tactile response than the MPCs" .

What the hell are you talking about? This isn't flying jets you know.

MPC Producer wrote
"When I first learned about the fewer MIDI in/outs on the MV I questioned what seemed like a lack of ports. In time I realized that Roland actually made a very wise decision as they controlled their cost by eliminating a few of the ports."

And In time I'm starting to read thru the BS.
Someone's starting to sound like a jilted lover.
Either you got that info from a Roland rep or you're just speculating.
I believe this is speculating.

MPC Producer wrote
"It is interesting speculation why Roland made this change. The human eye has a higher sensitivity to green due to our ancient ancestry in plant-based environment. On the other hand, sensitivity to yellow ranks just below green and has been show to be more effective in office environments with bright lighting."

OK. Thank you for the history lesson on the human eye.
More speculating about nothing. You're real name is Don King isn't it.
Saying a lot when you're really saying nothing.
Damn Don King is banging out tracks.

Listen Don.
Is the machine helping you to be a better producer or not.
If you create one beat on the two machines which sounds better.

This is your second review and most of the info you have given is useless speculation and mumbo jumbo manual / techie info.
In other words step you're game up or stop hating.

Yes you are hating and sound like a jilted lover when you make comments
like

MPC_Producer/Don King wrote
"Happy 2004 -- the year WHEN the MV-8000 begins to take over"

And you're board name is MPC-Producer.
Sheesh

MPC Producer/Don King wrote
"The next review is tentatively planned for release on Sunday, January 11th. I might discuss the MV architecture in Part 3. This would cover MV-8000 components such as Projects, Partials, Sample Mix Tables, and Libraries..[/quote]MPC Producer

Hey Don King. Do you even have an MV. You know Most of this info is manual material Don.

Don: When are you going to review the one thing that separates the MPC form the MV-8000 and every other workstation in the world.
The SEQUENCER. I know why because the sequencer is sub par on the MV.

If sequencers were all the same no one would own a Triton and an MPC.
They would just own a Triton. . No one would connect their Fantom S to an MPC. They would just use the lighted pads on the Fantom S and the great sequencer included. But they don't. Because it's not.
They connect it to the MPC.

I have made tracks with other equipment but no matter how hard you fight it the MPC sequencer is the best. I did not want to spend money on a 4000.
But if it makes my music sound better, I got to cop it.

Don: Whatever Akai has done to you you need to get over it.
you're wasting you're money and time with a copycat product.

You'll have to come home one day
and the rock solid timing of the MPC will still be waiting for you.

So a Fiero is just as nice as a Ferrari. No and The MV is not an MPC.

Hey you get what you pay for. And you got the inferior equipment.

You don't have to reply but I'm sure you got the message MPC producer or Don King.

Wake me when you compare the sequencers. I have a funny feeling you will never do it because the sequencer is sub par.

Some people buy the MPC for this reason alone. They might produce their entire track with another product but when it comes time to lay it down they transfer it to the MPC.

In other words Whatever Man.

If you're torn on which machine to buy go check the machine for your self.
You'll be sorry. Just like the MV Producer. Though he will never admit it.

This guy has his own agenda.

By MPC_Producer Sun Jan 04, 2004 1:08 pm
You are one mixed up idiot. I don't know who Don King is, and I assure you that I am not whoever you think he is. Get your facts straight before you post such stupid C-R-A-P!

Later, fool.

If you don't know who Don king is maybe you're not the weel rounded intelect you think you are idiot.
Whatevea Woman.. I'm sorry. Here's a napkin.

It's all about the sequencer. Like i said wake me.

Whenever someone disagrees with you automatically say it's crap or junk.
Without discussing the facts presented.

Basically you're full of it.

When presented with the first statement you said re read it.
I did.

And you're answer was C-R_A-P.
along with the other BS you're presenting.
Enjoy you're toy. Because that's all it is.
Dog. you're a hater. i just called you on it.

You're full of it.

Woman, you can keep your feminine napkins. You will need them with the way you cry over everything. Too bad someone shattered your world. Go away now girl.

By blackrome Sun Jan 04, 2004 1:24 pm
You're the hate that hate made.
Keep you're shirt on woman.
You're jilted by Akai. It's ok.
just keep it fair and balanced dog.

I just want to point out to you and others that can't see your agenda that you're not keeping it real.

Reading your review is like watching Fox News.
Completely slanted.

I have to call a spade a spade.

Enuff said.
