re-sampling on 4000

Could someone let me know if 4000 samples can be downsampled within the MPC domain. Is it possible to turn a 24 / 16 bit sample into an 8 bit?

I'm still learning the sub screen nav so a hint would be much appreciated.

Couldn't find this facility any where I guess this feature isnt available on the 4k.

man we r getting lazy... ok so yhea you can downsample the sample to any bit or sample rate in edit mode via trim..

you can also resample a sample while it's played at a high pitch and then pitch it down again to gain a lo-fi effect, also resample through light distoion.. gives a litlle fuzz.. sparkel some crackle of a record over the top and bake..
