Hi i've got a beginner's problem ... i must have forgot something but no signal midi in or midi out when i "hit" the pad in the main page.
pads are ok 'cos when i'm in the sample page i can use the pads to hear the sample...so probably something as simple as i'm blind ...
if someone can give me 2 sec i'll earn 5 hours
Thanks

"secs to use the search function helps save u a bit of time....Sometimes it is easier to just have a dig aroun rather than waiting on someone to 'save' you.

Anyway...Read this:

Q.
How do I connect up a MIDI Keyboard (a keyboard with sounds)?

A.
Simply connect the Midi out of the keyboard into the Midi In of your MPC, and the Midi out of the MPC to the Midi in of the keyboard. MPC sounds can be played on tracks using DRUM 1-4. Midi sounds need tracks set to midi. MIDI 1A will output MIDI data through MIDI out A on MIDI channel 1. Set the MIDI channels on your keyboard/module appropriately.

Q.
But I cant hear any sounds!

A.
Remember to connect the audio outs of your keyboard to your amp (probably via a mixer). Remember, MIDI only carries instructional information, not audio.

(I got this from the FAQ section @ ( www.mpc-tutor.com ) Have a look for yourself....Its good uknooooow!
