intermittent whirring sound from hard drive?? does your's?

Just dawned on me that I should ask in this forum...do your machines make a 2 second "whiring" sound every so often...I especially notice it when I walk away from the 4K to do something else and it's been sitting idle...maybe 5 minutes passes...I never notice it when I'm working on the machine...I have always assumed it's just the hard drive kind of collecting itself or some kind of thing...and upon calling the tech guys at 1-800 Akai...the tech guy did'nt say" oh yeah...that's a sound that ....." he honestly never has been asked before.

so...let me know..

Mine does the same thing. Almost like a slight "purr" every so often. Maybe it's the HD mechanisms that just happen to run like this. Anyobe else?
