triton through mpc

I was wondering how to run the triton through the mpc's sequencer. I followed someone's instructions on this site to connect the two with midi cables and to go into global, menu, midi, local control off and external midi on. However it still doesnt work. The mpc records the notes in the sequencer but I cant hear them. Am I doing something wrong?

HOOK THE AUDIO CABLES UP.

midi cords are connected...local on korg is off,external is on..........midi monitor on mpc shows signal..........still no sound,and yes the speakers work.any suggestions? also noticed recording a sequence on korg from mpc worked first try.i don't know whats not set right..........the akai or the korg.peace
