Mac OS9/OSX possable/theoretical

I'm a semi-proud new owner of the MPC 4000, running a mac g4, OSX, i'm having a ****-load of trouble trying to get 1.51 in my 'semingly' USB connected mpc 4000. I hope i didn't jump on a sinking ship, i baught the unit that is brother to the 2000, and i figured we'd get the red rug from akai, but can somebody help me out with some install instructions that work for my setup. I've put the two drivers in every possible folder that could be considered an extention folder for both 0sx and classic(os9) and everytime, after every restart..."driver not found. please check connection, power, etc.."

and i've yet to see a pop-up widow detecting a USB device.

The OS loader needs to be run natively under OS9. Boot into OS9 and drop the 1.51 bin on the script icon that says something like "drop here". Of course make sure you have the machine hooked up with a USB cable, and the 4k is powered on.

There are no drivers that are needed for the Mac. If you are talking about AkSys 2.6 you just launch the application while hooked up to the machine.

Update the OS = Boot into OS9, drop 1.51 bin on OS loader, let update.

Run Aksys 2.6 = Boot into OSX, launch Aksys application.

NO DRIVERS ARE NEEDED.

Thanks turns.. i ended up jackin my roomate's PC for five min. and got 1.51 workin, but i understand my mac errors now.
So now, part of this title is to get some attention from sombody who can give me the no bull**** future of 4000's OS and if you know anything nice about Mac OSX interaction, that'd be cool too.
Props to the guys runnin this site, you've made weeks seam like days.

I've been running OSX with AkSys for a little while now and seem to have no problems. However, there are quite a few things I would like to see in AkSys but that is another topic. 1.51 has been good to me, as I have been running it since this last weekend. No crashing, or issues yet.
