yep, as soon as i try one out for a couple of days...ime gonna order the beast.

ime also going to get the new yamaha 01x mixer, or a mackie control for logic. its just that the 01x doesnt support OSX just yet. so the 4k and a control surface is on my shopping list at the moment.

so yoot, which compressor did you buy man?

i dont have one at the moment, i use my logic and waves ones.

ime might look into getting an Avalon or a cheap DBX down the line.

oh...do you use a control surface of any kind, or just a desk?

I bought the Tube-Tech SMC 2B.
I use the Mackie D8B, although I do most of my mixing in Logic since everything is audio these days.

hi yoot.

das an expensive compressor man.

my bro spends that kind of cash on like PA & pro lighting gear, but on a compressor.

I tried quite a few compressors recently as I was looking for something to control the bottom end better & this one I prefered. I like to use a combo of outboard & plugins.

yeah I think the pad stutter problem is not a machine problem, its more of a newb dont know how to bang on the pads just yet. I had that problem when I just got my xl. Everytime I hit the pad it would stutter or double hits. I was so sure I got a defective mpc but turned out that it was just me being a noob!!!! I can now bang on the pads anyway I like em to sound with out that stutter effect, **** I can even replay that stuttering effect whenever I needed it. I was gonna buy a 4000 but Im starting to get to know the xl better so I dont know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
