Re: multi change with bank select
Can anyone help me out on the following problem?
I can't figure out how to correctly setup a track for using the bank select message to control the multi select operation.
- I've set multi numbers to each multi in the multi list page.
- I've set the multi select field to bank select in the "multi number" popup-window
- In the main window I've set the track to the corresponding internal MIDI port and channel.
- I've turned on bank select in the pgm change field
- in the reference manual on page 127 is stated that I should use bank select message controller #0 for the multi change operation. That would be the MSB as stated on page 28 of this reference manual.
-I set up the MSB as the chosen multi number -1, I press play start, ....nothing
I've tried numerous other things to make it work but it I just don't seem to get it right. I think I am out off options here, some help would be highly appreciated.
Everything that you did is correct.
I think that you are only missing one thing.
My guess is that you left Program Change set to OFF (when you set the MSB to multi number -1).
For the Bank Select to be sent, a Program Change should be sent as well. It could be set to any number (but not OFF).
Thanks Sean, you were right. Bank select is woking in the same way as a program change now.
