Am I hearing things?

I'm just wondering, Im tracking out my tracks into PT, and its like it loses the edge it has inside the MPC, anyone notice this, or am I just hearing shit
I woulda just bounced it down inside the mpc, but I just had to use a bass line off a triton

What i know is that everything sounds better in the mpc. What i also do is, make an audiotrack of a softsynth, import it in the mpc, and voila it sounds way better then when straight out of the pc (rme audiocard). MPC has got very good converters

tip for the listeners::

Go buy a cheap EQ and a decent compressor..and if you got dough a pricey analog eq.....Hey for 3000. you can get this 16 channel Tube based EQ mixer from TLAudio..at Sweetwater..My friend had one and it is a killer.....I'm buying that new mackie joint soon the ONYX....or what you can do to fatten things up is use your plug in EQ's in PT or DP or whatever....you set up your audio inputs on the Aux Busses then port the outs of your Aux busses to the ins of your Audio tracks..it is like doing things in reverse but it works and i get to pre EQ tracks using my pultec Eq's...which BTW is a great EQ to Fix problems or ADD THUMP!.....My Problem is having too much of that so im cutting more than adding LOL...I made all my drum kits in my SP1200 and EQ'ed and Compressed before recording!!

I think what you're hearing is the diference between the two converters, the MPC and the PC's. I'll bet if you had access to different A/D/A converters, you'd probably be able to find one that maintains the quality in and out.

I use all MOTU units and they are real good for the price..Apogee is hot..also try using TUBE pre-amps to Records thru.....I heard those cheap units by Behringer aren't that bad and if you surf Ebay you can find replacement tubes of higher quality for cheap!
