fact the secondary pressings are usually done to make a product more cost efficient to produce (fluctuating prices on the semi-conductor market/memory etc.)

usually a company trims on parts and where it's produced with further pressings.


i recently got one and made sure it was an older white model for this reason!

<no diss to the new boards out there, just my thoughts on it>

There might be some slight internal differences on the inside of the machine, but it might be real minor things you wouldn't even notice. It's very common for manufacturers to update parts, but this should not affect performance in any way.


a COUPLE OF REPS FROM THE AKAIPRO SITE E-MAILED ME BACK TELLING ME THAT BOTH UNITS WHERE THE SAME AND THAT THE ONLY DIFFERANCE WAS THE COLOR
