 Now that's impressive! How much of that was the 4k and how much was other gear? I'm just curious. I haven't got the 4k yet. If that was mostly 4k...I think I made the right decision!

Give Thanks..

The breaks and loops were all 4k pretty much and the rest was done in Logic. Although i'm a big fan of Logic, you can't get as 'in depth' with the beat programing and mangeling as you can in the 4k.. It's my main workhorse and my source of inspiration!

MPC 4000, G5 dual 2 ghz - 2.5 Gb Ram,MOTU 2408 mk III,Unitor 8,Logic 6,NI,Yellow Tools,Plugsound,Spectrasonics,TC works,Audioease,Antares,G media,Emagic etc etc...

Hey Kabb, you got some good sheet going on there man. I like your grooves a lot. I'd say you now what your doing!!

I read that you use logic, same as me, but you have managed to figure out how to use the MPC as the main unit. As of yet, I can't seem to ge this set-up without latency and other weirdness. I hate to ask, but could you drop some clues for me please. I use logic 5.5 on the pc, and just really use the MPC as a sampler, using 32 channels. I know there is more to the beautiful beast. If you can't help, no worries.

BTW, check out my friends website http://www.audioanarchy.com, you might like it. Lots of good hip-hop, dance and weirdness, by unsigned beat bangers, mainly from the UK.

He is also setting up a record label for dance music, so you might be able to help each other out. If not, you can hear some free tunes at least. I think you might like some of Logan 5's stuff and blunt Stereo. Imperial Leisure are also a good live hip-hop act to check out. Old school positive story tellin.

Actualy everyone in the forum should listen to Logan 5's last song, Stability (with Jack), as I think it is one of the weirdest hip-hop like tunes I have ever heard. Some friends of mine cut this, but never got it out. It would be real cool if you guys let me know what you think of the tune. I think its bangin and I'm tryin to get them to do somethin with it. Maybe you guys can convince them to get their act together (or not, as the case may be.)

Anways, good tunes man. Best of luck to ya!
