Question on Filter window on Program Edit-1 page.

In the program Edit 1 page, The filter section... I understand the left side of the screen that has the parameters for the TYPE:, Cutoff Frequency:, Resonance: & Attenuation:, I understand what all of those parameters control.

The right side of the page though, where it has the [R1,R2,R3,R4] & [L1,L2,L3,L4] & [Reference] parameters... I dont understand what they are for. When I change these parameters, i dont notice any difference at all.

I know they stand for Rate1,2,3,4 & Level1,2,3,4... but the rate of what? the level of what? and Reference of what. Sorry if its a dumb question, but i thought i knew all I needed to know about EQ filters, this is my first sampler ever and she's a MONSTER, Help!!!

I still am kinda clueless to what reference is, hopefully someone can explain that, but this is the best kind of envelope, I forget the name off the top of my sleepy head atm, but you have to hit the window key and route that envelope to something that you want it to do

Basically it gives you better control as far as your Attack Decay Sustain and Release parameters

L1 R1 =A
L2 R2 = D
L3R3 = S
