HELP w/ installing USB DRIVER for my mpc 4000

I can't seem to figure out how to install the driver so my mpc 4000 and computer can communicate with the aksys software.

Initally the computer recognizes that my mpc is hooked up through the usb cord and it goes through the normal stages of trying to install the driver but eventually it cannot find the correct driver even though I have d/l the driver from the akai website (extracted it from its orginal zip status) but my computer still can't install the driver properly.

WHAT AM I DOING WRONG????

Save the usb driver file to floppy disk. Then install the usb driver from the floppy disk. That should do it.

I assume you're trying to control the MPC with your computer. Right?

Can one save MPC program files onto a computer??? Only to an external drive right?
