What is the best way to organize sounds/files in the MPC4000? I'd like to have all my kicks in 1 folder, snares in another, and FX in the next, etc. Right now I have one folder with about a 1000 sounds/files. I noticed the Aks.sys program doesn't allow 'drag and drop' method... it would be nice to just highlight the files I wanted to move, and drop them into a folder.

You can drag and drop supported formats into aksys. If they are wav or snd files just drop them into the 'samples' folder in aksys and they will load right in. 1000 sounds will take a long time through aksys (USB), so you may want to burn a cd of all the sounds and load it into the 4K off the cd....its a lot faster this way. If they are pgms from the 2000, then drop them into the 'program' folder in aksys and they will be converted into MPC 4K pgm's. Then, when you save, just make seperate folders for kick, snare etc... You can select which samples to save by 'Tagging' them. Or just load all your snares, save them, and then delete all (hit 'window' button while in the sample list.) Then do the kicks, then the hats, etc. Hope that helps.
