Emergency help needed!

My 4000 has decided after 4 years of never skipping a beat to not power up all of a sudden. I had turned it off myself, and about 30 seconds later went to boot it back up and nothing happened. I've tried changing the fuse, using a different plug and plug socket, and nothing. I've opened it up and there are no glaring problems - no burnt out smell, nothing melted, everything connected.....has anyone had this happen to them, and if so, how did you go about fixing it please (I'm in England so please bear this in mind)? I am in a real rush to get some stuff finished so this is far from ideal...I am beginning to panic

Just noticed one slightly odd thing under the bonnet - could someone please post a picture of the left hand side of the inside of their functioning 4000? If not, could you please send me a link to one, as I need to check if mine matches it

you might be better to post a picture of yours! Its a complete hassle to crack open and put all those screws back

Maybe you could try reseating the connector coming from the power supply. Or trouble shoot by testing to see if you're getting power from the PS (w/ the use of a volt meter of course).

T'was a nightmare but I sorted it. Had to do some resoldering on the power board. Thank god it hasn't died on me - need it too much.
