Is there a quick way to allow a slider/knob to be able to input edit fx send automation data in the seq edit window. The only way I can find is to use the insert command which is slow as hell.
I would like to draw it in using a qlink knob/slider however I can't get them to do anything.
Or is there a way of affecting the send level through the CCs like volume and pan is possible cc or part mixer?
Also when leaving the view NOTES I no longer hear whats on the steps as I step through. Is there a way to hear the notes play still???
stuck again can't find this in the manual.

this was answered 2 days ago in a thread about recording q-link data. It seems this feature was not implemented, you can input individual values or you can record movements with the sliders but you can't change the value with the slider. Which is a bit crappy really... this is exactly the kind of stupid thing that reveals the OS as unfinished

possible work around copy part set to full wet and automate volume using cc7.

Slightly dubious in than running two identical parts introduces annoying phase changes. the 4k can't play the same thing together with out screwing it up.

I tried to find a cc to control fx send but none of them did. Pity.

This is another example of the love hate thing with the 4k.

You should be able to record mixer movements (level, pan, send) from the mixing page while the sequencer is running. This allolws you to control the parameter from a q-link in real time which makes sense. If you are on the seq edit page, you can only insert single events or continuous control. To do continuous, just go to insert and change the start and end time. This will let you insert linear, log or exp curves. Nice time saver. Through sysex, you could control any mixer parameters directly.

Yeah all work fine from the mixer page.
I just wanted to draw in some mad 16 note send sequences cause I had borrowed a mates virus ti and love the arp on it the way it controls all sorts of stuff including effects. I thought I would have a stab with the mpc and fx, but it seems that when I edit pad sends and part send data I then loose the ability to see note data when I go back to note view.
stuck again.
