recording from main out isn't doing its job!

I converted my sequences in song mode into one seqence, which I then go to the main screen to make sure it plays the way it should...and yes it does.

But I've read before to turn this sequence into a .wav file such that I can burn it and listen to it on another system I have to go to the record page.
Once I'm there I change to "main out" , I'll leave the other setting as I don't think they are causing my problem.

So once I hit record and play for the sequence you can see the meter bars recording and I think everything is all good.

But once I'm done recording and is now a .wav file, once I play it back the instruments or sounds I used from my triton don't get recorded! The only sounds I hear are from what I sampled in through the mpc sampler (not the triton sounds).

What is up with that?!

What you sampled into the MPC is what`s going to be recorded. I take it that your triton is connected to a mixer to play both together right? You need to get a recorder of some type or sample your triton sounds into the MPC. Basically a great book on multitracking would help you out. What`s a multitrack or Basic Home Recording. I hope it helps.

yo midi dont transmit sound. U need a mixer like dude was sayin. U have to have the tritons out goin to where the MPC's outs are goin to the speakers.

the triton's audio l/r are going into a mixer as well are the main outs l/r on the mpc (into the mixer).

the midi cables must be connected properly because the sequencing of the tritons instruments with the mpc 4000 works fine, anyways they are triton's midi out going into the mpc 4000 midi in & the mpc 4000 midi out going into the triton's midi in.

is there a setting on the mpc 4000 global or misc sections that i must do to get this working properly?

again my problem is that i converted my song to a sequence which plays back exactly how i want it too. but then when i go into the record page to turn this sequence into a .wav sample by choosing 'main out' it doesn't record my sequence how i want it too because it doesn't record the instruments (or sounds) I used with my triton, it only records the samples in the mpc's memory.

It only records the main outs of the mpc, the triton audio outs are not connected within the mpc to be heard thru it's main outs. You need a mixer and a recorder, or at least run the main outs of your mixer into the basic line in on your computer so you can record it as a wav file on there, with software like nero or whatever you can do this in a basic kind of way.

or ya can connect the audio out , analog or digital, of yer trition to the audio in of da 4k, play the seq and record the triton l/r as a stereo sample, trigger that sample in a new track of the seq, tweak the mix. Now everything is playin' in da 4K and ya can record the Main Out to a stereo wav.
if ya use the new MIDI note option to trigger recordin' of the triton out and use the same note to trigger playback of that sample, it'll all be in sync.
