Hey there,

I have 3 Z4's out fitted with the adat option. Currently I sequence with an MPC1000. I don't like using Akai sys to edit and the front panel on the Z4 can make things difficult. My question is; can I use the 4000 to make programs that will load into my Z4's?

why don't you try it and see?

You're probably the only person in the world with 3 Z4's hooked up to an MPC4000!

I don't have the 4000 yet. I do plan on getting one soon. I just want to know if i can transfer a program made on the 4000 to a Z4.

well I think you could originally.
But as Akai Unprofessional junked the Z-series machines earlier than the MPC4000, the programs created by later MPC4000 OS revisions may not be so compatible...
Akai support ought to be able to give you and a answer, but they won't be able to, cos they're crap.

The MPC4000's programs load in the Z8 perfectly, for what it's worth
