After a long time without a MPC I finally got myself a 4000...
I haven't experienced any of the bugs people talk about, and i'm running 1.51 - is there any real benefits by upgrading to the most recent OS?
Something I think is strange, is when i'm editing/trimming a sample in the trim window... sometimes I can't trim as small as i would like. From time to time it limits the amount i can trim.
Example...
If i have a 4 bar loop, it might allow me to trim it to 3 bars, but can't trim to 2 bars.
I've been using regions to get around it. but it seems strange. Especially since it's not every time.
By the way. Back in the days I had a 2kxl, as far as i remember it had a quick trim function where I could use the note variation slider to trim fast. Is there a similar function on the 4k? couldn't find it anywhere in the manual - which is very basic.
It also seems that the jog wheel scrools through a sample fairly fast going forward... but is slow as hell when going backwards in a sample.
