FINE TRIMMING problem getting bothersome

is no one experiencing the LOCK UP during fine trimming on sample editing?
or the problem with resampling with Q FX the machine will not "capture" the entire sample with chosen effect hence you do not comopletely get the sample with new chosen effect..
This problem gets worse when machine warms up afetr several hours use.. however no problem arrives when utilizing COMMAND resampling functions
I wrote to AKAI about this and they havent sorted it out
its a pain

MINE HAS NOT DONE IT IN A MIN...BUT, IT SEAMS TO HAVE WENT AWAY...... THIS COULD BE BECAUSE I AM NOT USING THE 4K TO IT'S FULLEST AND DON'T HAVE ALOT ON THE MACHINE....HOPE THINGS IMPROVE........... PEACE

yeah, mine has been locking up. It'll just straight freeze up, effecting the editing of all my samples. What's the deal??? I've been trying to contact akai forever and not get jack for a reply.

No one else experiencing this??? I went ahead and emailed akai in Japan so we'll see what happens, maybe they'll return my emails.. I still love this machine but it's hard to stay positive when you cant even make a beat cuz of this s**t happening. Sorry MPC-utor for the cussin but man I'm getting frustrated...

I did my research before I bought this machine and knew of some of the bugs w/ it, but I never heard of any problems w/ trimming samples until these last few weeks(the same time it became impossible to get any type of support from akai tech, and also the same time I bought this bad boy).
What sucks is that I'm quickly gettin close to the 30 day period where I can no longer get my full refund back for this and would hate to be stuck w/ a bad investment if all this internet talk about akai going under is true...

whatever, I'm done bitchin... Just wish I had some type of support coming from akai's direction

what Ive been doing to get around this problem is to take the sample that my MPC refuses to trim to an exact point and then "play" the sample and at the same time go into RECORD mode and RE-sample it, then when I go to re-trim it in edit mode I can get the sample trimmed exactly
But this is NOT the way it should be done
I was told months back that they would fix this bug

Yes, that lock up is very annoying. That's if you're talking about where you adjust the start point and it will only go so far? Region edit still works ok though.

Akai is starting to do their email and phone support again. I actually got a call from them today(for an issue I contacted them about 1 month ago) so hang in there and contact them again. They should be able to help now. I guess they've been moving their stateside distro to Cali from Texas so they shut things down for a few weeks.
